This ski resort is located a few miles from the Tennessee border North of Ashville in Yancy County. The appalachian trial borders the northern part of the resort. The nearest peak is Big Bald Mountain which is 5518 feet high.

Few people other than our group were at the resort. It was very cold and the snow making machines were operating around the clock. We were not prepared for snow but we did borrow some rescue sleds to do some downhill sledding. (Phil Cooley)
